The price you book is the price you pay. On the day, too.
If a removal company changed the price on you at the kerb before (quoted one number, charged another once the van was loaded), you already know what to check for. So we put it in writing: when you book with MuveOne, your quoted move price locks. There is no day-of renegotiation of your move price, no re-pricing once the van is loaded, no revised move invoice on arrival.
You book. The move price locks. That's the whole mechanism, and it's in your booking confirmation, word for word. Our pricing page lists openly the only other charges that can ever exist, before you book: evidenced, at cost, never invented on the day.
Get your locked quote"My removal company changed the price on the day." How the lock makes that impossible here
Here is how a day-of price rise usually happens: the quote was for one size, the load turned out bigger, and a new figure was named with your furniture already in the van. So the lock we give you is not for one size. Your quote prices all five (5, 10, 15, 20 and 30m³) and locks every one of them the moment you book.
Need the size above on the day? Then that size's price is the one already printed on your booking confirmation, agreed before anyone lifted a box. Nobody works out a new number at the kerb, because there is no new number to work out.
Weight is the other thing that has moved prices for people before. Every size on your quote shows the weight limit for your route, settled when the quote is generated, so the figure you plan against is yours and not a brochure's.
Those two facts, a price for every size and a limit you saw in advance, are what take the renegotiation moment out of the day. A van that is half full changes nothing about what you pay.
Packing yourself? The lock matters most then: see what happens when a load passes its route's weight limit →Staged at build: an image of the real no-change clause exactly as it prints on the booking confirmation email. Do not fabricate; the artifact is captured from a live confirmation, redacted, and placed here.
Three columns. Nothing outside them.
Locked in your price, arranged separately when you ask, or disclosed up front. Pre-categorising everything is the defence against extras in disguise, because nothing can hide between the columns.
- In the price you locked: the move itself, the customs clearance work, and the driver's help at the van.
- Agreed in writing beforehand, and only if you ask for it: packing, extra hands beyond the van, storage.
- Yours to arrange: parking, permits and access at either address. The two backstops we disclose, waiting time and a rare payment a customs authority itself can demand, are spelled out on our pricing page. Nothing outside those three columns is ever part of your move price, and that price cannot move once you book.
No mystery crews
Our London crew, or a named vetted partner, handles your move. We employ our London crew directly; elsewhere in the UK and in Europe, partnership companies we know do the work, with our strongest partners in Paris and Madrid. We say who runs your move before you book, because for anyone let down once, the crew matters as much as the figure.
One driver per van by default, and the driver's help at the van is part of your price, at no charge. Hands beyond the van (floors, long carries) are the Additional Crew add-on, arranged and priced before the day, never invented on it.
A £481 excess, a claims portal with published timing windows, and people (not bots) handling the claim. We publish all of it before you book, so you can hold us to it.
What's covered, what isn't, and the claims steps →A removal company that changed the price once the van was loaded. A crew nobody had vetted. A chatbot when it all went wrong.
If that's why you're here, then you're reading the right page.
Your move price locks at booking, across all five sizes, in writing.
