HOW YOUR MOVE WORKS

Understand the whole move before you commit to anything.

The full timeline, how collection windows work, how the price lock protects you, and who actually turns up on the day: all of it on one page, before you book.

Your move, step by step

The whole journey, annotated. Each step carries one thing you can hold us to, and below the line, what actually happens at each stage.

1
Booked

Price locked across all five sizes. 25% deposit; balance on loading day.

2
Collected

Flexible windows you choose. A 15m³ move gives a two-day window.

3
In transit

Goods-in-Transit cover, loading to arrival

4
Customs

Included, handled by us. Moving EU to EU? This step disappears.

5
Delivered

A range at booking, widest on 5/10m³, then a precise time the day before loading.

1 AT BOOKING

Every move is booked at least 7 days before loading day (14 for a move from the UK to Ireland), so build that into your dates. 25% deposit at booking, 75% on loading day. The price locks across all five sizes.

2 DURING YOUR WINDOW

Our logistics team contacts you with your collection day and estimated loading time, with at least 24 hours' notice. Be packed and ready from the window's first day.

3 ON THE ROAD

Your goods travel under £20,275 of published Goods-in-Transit cover, £481 excess, loading to arrival. The full numbers are on Insurance & claims.

4 AT THE BORDER

On cross-border routes, clearance work is in your quote and handled by us; documents are due 7 days before your move. Moving EU to EU? This step disappears.

5 AT YOUR NEW DOOR

Your delivery estimate is an honest range from the day you book; exact loading and unloading time slots are confirmed the day before loading.

COLLECTION WINDOWS

Not sure of your exact dates when you book?

Choose a collection window instead of a fixed date (a 5m³ move gives you a four-day window) and we'll work within it. The smaller the load, the more flexibility you get.

One thing to know early: be packed and ready from the first day of your window. During the window, our logistics team contacts you with your collection day and the estimated arrival time for loading, with at least 24 hours' notice, so the van can arrive on any day of it.

Your finalised inventory is due 3 calendar days before the window opens, so the packing finishes with it: before the window, not during it.

One planning fact to know early: every move is booked at least 7 days before loading day, and a move from the UK to Ireland at least 14 days ahead. Build that into your dates and everything else gets easier.

The quote works either way: quote on a fixed date, or on a window, and decide when you book.

Your window, by move size
5 m³ 4-day window
10 m³ 3-day window
15 m³ 2-day window
20 m³ your chosen day
30 m³ a confirmed day

The exact collection day within your window is confirmed with at least 24 hours' notice. That's contractual, not a courtesy.

THE PRICE LOCK

How the lock works

When you book any size (5, 10, 15, 20 or 30m³) we lock the quoted price for every size, not just yours.

Packing and it turns out you have more than you thought? You move up a size and pay the price we locked for that size when you booked. Not a new quote. Not day-of rates. The number was already on your booking.

This is the exact situation where some movers re-price you: the van is half-loaded and you can't say no. We removed the mechanism that makes that possible.

Each size carries a weight limit that depends on your specific route. We confirm your route's limits in your quote, so you're checking a real number, not a brochure figure.

All five sizes lock at booking EXAMPLE PRICES
5 m³ £1,008
10 m³ £1,540
15 m³ £2,060
20 m³ £2,590
30 m³ £3,420

Example prices. Your locked prices are generated in your quote. Weight caps vary by route.

THE CREW MODEL

Who actually turns up on the day

Your move is run by our London crew, or a named vetted partner, and we'd rather show you how that structure works than hide it behind a logo.

In London, the crew is ours: directly employed. Across the rest of the UK and Europe we work through vetted partnership companies, with our strongest direct presence in Paris and Madrid. That partner coverage is what makes door-to-door possible on every route we serve.

By default your van runs with a single driver, and their help at the van is already in your price: you bring things to the vehicle, they load; they unload, you carry in. There's no hourly labour charge waiting for you on move day.

Stairs, long corridors, no lift? That's our separate Additional Crew service, agreed and priced before move day, never invented at the kerb.

Where our people are
LONDON Our own crew, directly employed by MuveOne.
PARIS & MADRID Our strongest direct partner presence: named companies we work with move after move.
REST OF THE UK & EUROPE Vetted partnership companies covering every corridor we quote. The coverage behind door-to-door.
DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Why every estimate is a range

Every delivery estimate we give is a range. The range is widest on the smaller loads (5–10m³), which travel consolidated with other moves, and we'd rather tell you that now than surprise you later.

Loading day counts as day one, and your exact unloading time slot is confirmed the day before loading. The range on your quote is your route's real number, generated for your addresses, not copied from a brochure.

London → Paris EXAMPLE RANGE
5 m³ 1–8 days
10 m³ 1–8 days
15 m³ 1–6 days
20 m³ 1–3 days
30 m³ 1–3 days

Example range for one corridor. Your quote generates the real range for your route and load size.
