REMOVALS THAT DON'T CHANGE THE PRICE ON THE DAY

The price you book is the price you pay. On the day, too.

If you've been re-priced at the kerb before (quoted one number, charged another once the van was loaded) you already know what to check for. So we put it in writing: when you book with MuveOne, your quoted move price is locked. There is no day-of renegotiation of your move price, no re-pricing once the van is loaded, no revised move invoice on arrival.

You book. The move price locks. That's the whole mechanism, and it's in your booking confirmation, word for word. The only other charges that can ever exist are listed openly on our pricing page, before you book: evidenced, at cost, never invented on the day.

THE MECHANISM

How the lock actually works

When you book, your quote is locked: not just for the size you chose, but across all five sizes (5, 10, 15, 20 and 30m³). If packing runs over and you need the next size up, you pay the price that was locked when you booked. Never a new price on the day.

Each size carries a weight limit that depends on your specific route. We confirm your route's limits in your quote, so you're checking a real number, not a brochure figure.

Packing and it turns out you have more than you thought? You move up a size and pay the price we locked for that size when you booked. Not a new quote. Not day-of rates. The number was already on your booking.

This is the exact situation where some movers re-price you: once the van's half-loaded and you can't say no. We removed the mechanism that makes that possible.

Why the every-size lock matters most when you pack yourself: what happens when a load runs past its route's weight limit →
All five sizes lock at booking EXAMPLE PRICES
5 m³ £1,008
10 m³ £1,540
15 m³ £2,060
20 m³ £2,590
30 m³ £3,420

Example prices. Your locked prices are generated in your quote. Weight caps vary by route.

THIS IS WHAT YOUR CONFIRMATION SAYS

Staged at build: an image of the real no-change clause exactly as it prints on the booking confirmation email. Do not fabricate; the artifact is captured from a live confirmation, redacted, and placed here.

EVERY CHARGE, PRE-CATEGORISED

Three columns. Nothing outside them.

Locked in your price, arranged separately when you ask, or disclosed up front. Pre-categorising everything is the defence against extras in disguise.

LOCKED

Move price · customs clearance work · driver's help at the van

ARRANGED SEPARATELY

Packing · additional crew · storage, in writing before move day

ARRANGED BY YOU

Parking, permits, or site access required by your location. Arranged and paid by you.

Waiting time is a backstop, not a meter: if the crew arrives at the notified time and the load isn't ready, the first 30 minutes are free, then our T&Cs carry an hourly rate. And rarely, a customs authority itself demands a payment, such as a refundable guarantee on temporary admission. We list these so the first time you hear of them is now, not on an invoice.

THE RULE

If it isn't in one of these columns, it isn't part of your move price. And your move price cannot change once you book.

HOW YOU PAY
25%
deposit when you book
75%
on loading day

The move price never changes between those two payments. Add-ons you request are invoiced separately, always agreed before they happen.

WHO ACTUALLY TURNS UP

No mystery crews

Your move is handled by our London crew, or a named vetted partner. Our London crew is directly employed; across the rest of the UK and Europe we work with partnership companies we know, with our strongest partners in Paris and Madrid. We tell you how the model works up front, because who turns up matters as much as what you pay.

One driver per van by default, and the driver's help at the van is included at no charge. Hands beyond the van (floors, long carries) are the Additional Crew add-on, arranged and priced before the day, never invented on it.

IF YOU'RE SWITCHING

Re-priced once the van was loaded. A crew nobody had vetted. A chatbot when it all went wrong.

If that's why you're here, you're reading the right page.

DAY-OF RE-PRICING

Your move price locks at booking, across all five sizes, in writing.
