The Required Documents for Your Move to Croatia:
Moving between the UK and the EU is no longer the hassle-free process it once was due to Brexit. This is because borders and customs regulations have been reinstated for all forms of transportation. If you are relocating under the Transfer of Residence status and wish to avoid import VAT (at a rate of 25% of the value of your transported goods), there are several documents that must be prepared.
We are here to assist you with your post-Brexit move to Croatia and provide guidance on the essential paperwork required by customs officials. However, it is important to note that you must complete these documents yourself in order for them to be valid.
Before We Can Collect Your Goods, We will Need You to Provide the Following Documents:
Required a copy of either your ID card or passport.
A certificate from the local council in Croatia to confirm your residency. Alternatively, if approved by the EU customs agent, you may provide a document showing that you are an EU resident or intend to become one. For exampl
- If you live with family in the EU, please ask them to complete and sign this template, and provide a copy of their personal ID and a utility bill with the address.
- In case of your employment within the EU, provide us with a copy of your EU employment contract.
- To confirm your living arrangements within the EU, please provide a utility bill bearing your name and address, your tenancy agreement, or the property ownership deed.
A detailed packing list, signed by you, including the value, size, and weight of each item listed. Please fill in all fields provided in our Insurance Form.
A UK certificate of residence or other evidence showing that you have lived in the UK for at least the last 12 months (e.g., 12 months of council tax bills or bank statements showing address).
A self-certificate (using this template) to inform the customs authorities that you have used the household objects at your UK residence for more than six months and that you will not sell, rent, or pledge them after receiving them in your new place, and that you intend to remain an EU resident for at least one year.
Please provide a signed authorization that grants the customs clearance agent the authority to act as your representative. A blank form will be provided to you by MuveOne after you confirm your booking.
