However, please be aware that the paperwork necessary for relocation is rather extensive, as it is designed to demonstrate to customs authorities in your destination country that your transfer of residence meets the criteria for Transfer of Residence status. Any items transported without this status may be subject to a 21% import VAT charge based on the value of the item.

To Collect Your Goods, We Require You to Provide Us with the Following Documents:

A clear copy of your ID card or Passport.

A certificate from the local council in Belgium confirming your residency (Certificat – résidence principale). Alternatively, if approved by the EU customs agent, you can submit a document indicating that you are an EU resident or plan to become one. For example:

  • If you live with your family in the EU, please ask them to complete and sign this template and provide a copy of their personal ID and a utility bill with the address.
  • In case of your employment within the EU, kindly furnish us with your employment agreement under the EU.
  • If you have living arrangements in the EU, please provide a utility bill with your name and address or your tenancy agreement or the property ownership deed.
