Following Brexit, we no longer provide a hassle-free removal service without paperwork for individuals relocating from the UK to Sweden. To ensure that your belongings are transported as part of a residential removal rather than a regular import subject to applicable taxes, it is necessary to demonstrate your eligibility for Transfer of Residence status to the customs officer. To assist you in achieving this status, we have identified below documents that serve as a solid foundation. However, currently, only three of these documents are mandatory for moving your goods to Sweden.

To Proceed with the Transportation of Your Goods, We Kindly Request the Submission of the Following Documents Prior to the Removal:

A clear copy of your ID card or Passport.
A certificate issued by the local council in Sweden, verifying your residency. Alternatively, if agreed upon by the EU customs agent, you may provide a document affirming your EU residency or your intention to become one. For instance:

  • If you reside with your family in the EU, please have them complete and sign this template. Additionally, provide copies of their personal identification and a utility bill displaying the address.
  • If you are employed in the EU, kindly furnish your EU employment contract.
  • If you have established living arrangements in the EU, please provide a utility bill in your name and address, your tenancy agreement, or the property ownership deed.

A comprehensive packing list, duly signed, containing the value, size, and weight of each item listed. Please ensure that all fields provided in the Insurance Form are completed.

A UK certificate of residence or any other evidence demonstrating that you have resided in the UK for at least the past 12 months (e.g., 12 months of council tax bills or bank statements displaying your address).

Please utilize the provided self-certificate template to notify the customs authorities that you have used household items at your previous residence in the UK for a period exceeding six months. Furthermore, it is important to affirm that you have no intention of selling, renting, or pledging these items subsequent to their arrival at your new location. Additionally, state your commitment to remain an EU resident for at least one year.

Declaration form completed to claim exemption from customs duty.

A signed authorization granting the customs clearance agent permission to act as your direct representative. MuveOne will provide you with a blank form after confirming your booking.

Please ensure that all documents are printed, signed, and placed in a large envelope to be handed over to the driver. Additionally, please submit the completed electronic versions of the documents through the customer portal for verification.

Please note that the aforementioned documents must be provided before collecting your belongings. On the day of your move, you will be provided with a CMR form (cargo movement) to complete.
